We take pride in this service being our point of difference to other service providers here in Tasmania.

Our new school holiday program will be extremely unique, in the fact that the participants involved will be gaining skills for after school life, and everyday challenges that may pop up. We’re still a little blown away to say that GROW

We’re still a little blown away to say that GROW Disability Support has been named Tasmania’s Disability Support Service of the Year 2025 at the Tasmanian Disability Awards.

We were also lucky enough to be nominated for Child Support Service of the Year and School Holiday Support Service of the Year which in itself is such an achievement, as well as two staff members being nominated for Support Worker of the Year!

When I think back to 5 years ago, starting with just one participant and one staff member, it’s pretty incredible to see where we are now. The growth of this team has been unreal, not just in size, but in the heart and dedication every single person brings.

This award belongs to the whole team. Every shift, every camp, every late night, every little effort adds up and it’s what makes GROW so special. I couldn’t be prouder of everyone who’s been part of this journey. 💙

We want to extend our congratulations to all the nominees and winners from last night’s 2024 Tasmanian Disability Awards. We’re incredibly honored to have been recognised in two categories: School Holiday Program of the Year and Child Disability Support Service of the Year.

We are thrilled to announce that we won the 2024 School Holiday Program of the Year! 🏆 This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication and hard work of every single one of our team members, who have committed themselves not only this year but since 2020. A huge thank you to everyone who supported us, especially the nominators who believed in our mission.

Over the last 7 weeks since our last post, we’ve had the privilege to hold 9 Respite Camps in 9 different locations in both Tasmania and Victoria 😃 - making that 19 different locations that we’ve held respite camps this year!

New friendships are being made as well as new skills developed to help achieve personal goals and overcome challenges.

What a start to 2023! Out of the first 10 weekends of the year, we have held 9 respite camps in 9 different locations across Tasmania.
We have a huge weekend ahead, with a team of support workers heading to Strahan to hold another Respite camp, and a very personalised 1-1 weekend is being held in Melbourne for the weekend as well. 😄🏈
